To use a keyboard shortcut, press and hold one or more modifier keys and then press the last key of the shortcut. For example, to use Command-C (copy), press and hold the Command key, then the C key, then release both keys. Keyboard shortcuts are a combination of keys that provide quick access to a particular function within a computer program. Using these shortcuts can help you navigate your computer faster. The keyboard shortcuts displayed in this document, and the key binding preferences in Visual Studio for Mac, are presented using the symbols commonly used in macOS. If you are unsure of a symbol, review the macOS key symbols loopkup table. Mar 18, 2019 Unfortunately for the sake of consistency, Microsoft Word for Mac does things a tiny bit differently. The end result is basically the same, but the names and process differ. In Microsoft’s case, the command we want is called Paste and Match Formatting and the keyboard shortcut.
